Hey, you're hired then. I'd say that if I keep up the pace, I'll have my first tileset up in about a month or so.
It's taken me about 4 days, but I've finally got the groundwork laid. The depot is done, everything is sized up to NWN standards, and I've started on the foliage and trees.
What really amazes me here is just how relatively high a polycount you can go with in NWN. It's a shame only a (
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=hakpaks.Detail&id=7947) handfull of people have taken advantage of what it can do. I plan on being one of those people, as you can see here...
Inline Image:
http://users.chartertn.net/greymatt/depot_trees.jpgThose are four tiles, and I'm not even at half of the polys a single tile can support.
Anyway, this is pretty much the look I'm going for with my forest. Need a few more trees for variety, then I can get to the not fun part of getting this stuff ingame.
It's because there's no point in wasting the polybudget when you wont need it anyway :)
is the ground a tiling texture or one single for the whole ground?, was thinking since it blends into the track-gravel.

It's actually two textures. I used the same base for both of them, one that tiles in 4 directions, then painted the gravel in for the tracks.

How do you get those spaces between taskbar icons?

What Dethtoll said. Also, you can hit ctrl-alt-del, then punch the fuck out of your computer.
Naw, just kiddin. What you do is make a text file, rename the extension to .exe, make a shortcut from it, then give the shortcut a completely transparent icon. Make as many shortcuts as you need, call them something like spacer_1, spacer_2, ect, then put them where you want a space on the taskbar.

So another poorly thought out publicity stunt that will backfire on their arses?

Which one backfired again?
