Well, you are a funny fucker occasionally. Sometimes. Once in a while. :D
But y'know, Renz, if deth hasn't replaced his DVD drive yet, maybe he's not in the position to spend an equivalent amount of money on games that he already has either.

I ran the numbers - looks like the free games are 50% off as well.

This is true. But at my last reckoning (which was admittedly awhile ago), external DVD drivers are still a goodly bit more expensive than the ones you pop in a bay. Unless he orders online, he'll be paying about $60ish getting one from Best Buy or any other local store.
Which if he really wants to play Fallout, spend 6 bucks on one go is considerably less than getting a new external driver. Or hell, if he owns the game already, and wants to save some cash, one of us could just rip an ISO file for him.

It's kind of not that big a deal since I wasn't planning on playing them for a while anyway- I still have to get through New Vegas, don't I?
The problem is I don't really have loads of cash. I can spend a little here and there, but it took me 4 months just to save up for a Geforce 8800 and a suitable power supply, and that was when I wasn't in constant danger of getting shafted.

Tyrian has been free for years, but it's nice that GOG is packaging it up and making it visible.

Christ, I almost wish I could just gift my gog-bought copies to Deth since I own 4 copies of the first 2 games and Tactics already.

Very tempted to buy Syberia II. For $5, if a game entertains you for even two hours, then it is worth it.

It
was in a book. Some SF Anthology in my school's library which will likely never be found ever again. So give a shit for fifteen minutes and give the internet version a read.
If I'm not mistaken, it's from (
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Dangerous_Visions) Dangerous Visions, edited by Harlan Ellison.
It's some good, trippy, seventies sci-fi. Some dreck, but lots of good stuff from a vibrant generation of sci-fi authors.
Back OT, I've already bought five games in this GOG sale, and it's only telling myself that I've also bought the Humble Indie Bundle #2 that's keeping me from getting more.
