DXGen has become like NMA (predominantly courtesy of Zylon and Papy), since the solid info on DX3 started rolling out around last August.
SSGen is fun, thanks to that crazy semi-literate German fella whom keeps posting about his buggy arse Java-written program.
AHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA.
Man you cracked me up. Awesome.
Also, I love how, even though this is one consistent TTLG website with similar games, each forum is like it's own little separate state that viciously hates one another and, from time to time, organizes raids or sends suicide bombers over :thumb:

We're an odd bunch, yeah. I can't say I mind, though! :D

The Thief forums, conversely, are refreshingly free (almost free) of the general passive-aggressive rudeness which seems to be the norm for most other game forums and webcomics. It can be fun for a while, but the Something-Awful-around-2001 style has become so tired it's not funny or entertaining anymore.

See, I remember the goodoldays when the super nice Thief Gen crowd invaded the Eidos forums for fun because they were practically Amish by comparison.

Wait, there are forums outside of General Gaming?
Fancy that!

It does however also contain threads with such spine-cracking levels of cringeing tragicness that they make me embarrassed about owning a copy of thief gold.

Admittedly, the "do you wear a hood in real life?" kind of threads do weird me out. Still, there is much more signal than noise even over there. The FM forum is rather nice, and the Editor's Guild is absolutely excellent - people are knowledgable, helpful and swift to respond to questions. EG has been a lot of help during building my own missions.

The problem is this: It just isn't the same as it was even 2 years ago. I mean, there is nothing really left to discuss in Thief Gen. We've dissected it endlessly and there isn't anything that hasn't been said/asked before.
Of course, the Help/Spoilers and FanMission/Editing forums will always be relevent for obvious reasons. They will also be friendlier, as nothing is debated there. They are mostly just Q&A and gushing praise of FMs.

Just wait 'til Thief 4 comes out. Then we get to look forward to endless "OMFG THIS SUX" threads. Again.
