I actually get the impression that they tend to be somewhat older, and haven't been corrupted by 4chan, ED, and CommChat, and as such aren't used to the vagaries of internet life.
Same here, also LOL, Jason Moyer.

Just in case some people haven't noticed on the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125600) DX board, the nameless mod is finally out after 7 years in the making. You can download it (
http://thenamelessmod.com/) here. I've only played it for an hour last night but it totally blew me away. The quality is just amazing for a mod, it's on par with a commercial project, I encourage everyone to try it out.

Yeah, I saw that they had released TNM. I'll play it when I'm in the a mood for some DX.

The voice acting from the video clips released thus far were really cringe-worthily bad, sub-Anime dub quality.

Not counting the anime`s that actually have excellent english dubs aye

Dude, consider his namesake. I don't think he knows there is such a thing as a "good anime dub".

Have a watch of Rurouni Kenshin then. The english dubs are better than the jap ones for that cartoon.
In the jap version half the characters sound like girls and talk very high pitch.
Ghost in the Shell + Cowboy Bebop weren`t bad either.

The original vocal track is part of the filmmaker's original intentions, anything less and I'm not having it.
I hate it how some people get up in arms about seeing Live-Action films dubbed, but are okay with it when it comes to Animation. Animation is no less important than any other film medium. The intentions of the creative lead are important no matter how a film is made. The original performances by the original actors are part of that.

Seen them, the original performances were still much better.
Akio Otsuka is Batou. Richard Epcar is still decent, especially so in the GitS2: Innocence dub. Epcar also wrote and supervised the English adaptation of Innocence, his script is incredibly faithful.
I can't imagine anyone doing the Major better than Atsuko Tanaka. But Mimi Rodgers from the Manga Ent's GitS1 dub and Mary Glynn from SAC series dub fitted the role well enough, I'll give you that.
Oh and Bebop? STEVE BLUM, BWAHAHAHA. What a talentless hack, have you noticed how his performance is IDENTICAL in everything he does? Bebop, Big O, Doom 3, Quake 4, FEAR: Perseus Mandate, Clive Barker's Jericho... He always plays himself.
Koichi Yamadera's Spiegel on the other hand is incredibly soulful, you can hear the character's pained past behind his vocals.
Yamadera is also GitS' Togusa, in all incarnations. I hate Crispin Freeman with a passion, another dreadful actor.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was originally voiced in English- not sure if there's a Japanese dub or not.
The funny thing is, I knew a weeaboo who spent about 15 minutes looking for the Japanese vocal track, and when it became clear that there was none...

God, that looks sterile. Interesting gameplay ideas, though. Oh well, I don't own that raving piece of shit UT3 anyway.
