All right. The (
http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/) Mechwarrior mod for Crysis went open beta on Saturday.
You know that techno-geek thread on CommChat that's flown into flirty rants and people sprouting chubbies? I love a good chubby personally but, well, this (
http://www.moddb.com/mods/mechwarrior-living-legends/videos/mwll-beta-release-trailer) release trailer does all that and
more for me.
Seriously sporting two chubbies here. And one of 'em might not even be my own.
Too bad I can't play it just yet. But I will soon enough. How about the rest of you folks weigh in meanwhile?
Oh, Mechwarrior. It's been so long.

Thanks for good news and all, but you realise that it's designed around competitive MP, rather than SP aka the thread's topic?

Didn't really notice, tbh. But that's even better news. What good's a Mech-induced hard-on if you can't spread the love? <3

Isn't that just stating that the game's multiplayer modes are lacking more than any thing else? And anyway, who's to say how accurate a random website on the net may be? I'd fire up the game and check if there are only 62 servers right now, but I don't have it at the moment.
Anyway, I don't see a rational justification in that list for there not being many people who play the game or its mods. Unpopular multiplayer or not, a million or so people did buy the game. Let the mod gain some momentum. If more people come, more power to it. If not, oh well.
Either way, I'm not about to post stats from a website to prove a point. If it floats your boat and there are people to play it with, go for it.
