Google drive downloads

hi everyone!
I would like some help please to understand what I do wrong when trying to d/l missions from Google Drive.
The choice to use zip extractor extracts the files and when is done I have the option to download them.
Then, it zips them again for d/l, but the mission titles contain the words (unzipped files) plus a line of numbers...
i.e: MissionTitle-v1.zip (Unzipped Files)-20211029T231910Z-001.zip
And then, they are not visible when I open the loader.

What the hell I am doing wrong? Please, help me out, I hate Google drive.

No need for extraction. just click on the Download icon at the top of the page. Then, put it on a folder which your FM Manager can read.

when I click the link and the page comes up, it has the content of the mission files inside a border and on top of that, the only clickable button is that of the zip extractor with the options to:
zip extractor
cloud convert
document viewer for google drive
connect more apps

so, I press the first one, it opens the files and when it finishes, I only have the choice to extract them.
After it finishes extracting, I have the choice to view them, I click view files and another page opens with the option to d/l them as a zip, but with the (unzipped files) addition on the title.
There, sorry to bother you MayheM, and thank you for your respond, it is all the step by step that I can do when it comes to Google drive :(

Hi nightchild.

If you already have a copy of Thief installed on your computer and you have installed Tfix (instructions and links available in one of the top threads in this forum), you should install Angel-loader ((https://fenphoenix.com/apps/AngelLoader/doc/English/AngelLoader%20documentation.html) - lots of info available here, too). That is the only FM loader worth having.

When you get to the download page on Google Drive for a fan mission (here's "Behind Closed Doors", from the ever-excellent FM author, Nicked: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_UhLOkH7SZTdkFrQlZxQU1qd3c/view?resourcekey=0-P860TrNjMyxMzmkQMf3WLQ)), use the download buttons to download the ZIP file (without opening it - just the ZIP file as it is) to the directory you have chosen to contain your fan missions (I have installed everything to do with Thief in a directory called "Taffer", which contains a sub-folder named "fm" in which I save any fan mission ZIP file that I want to play, so C:/Taffer/fm).

You just have to download the ZIP file to the appropriate folder. Do not open the zip file. Just save it. As in the above link to "Behind Closed Doors", click on the download link and nothing else.

If you've done everything correctly, the only thing left to do is hit loads of guards on the head and steal as many valuable items as you can find.

taffercobbles thank you for your help,although I know how and where to use the fm zips, and I indeed use AngelLoader. This is not the problem.
MayheM, Jeasus! I used Firefox and I could d/l the zip right away , something I could not do via Chrome!!!! :wot::tsktsk:

The problem now is that AngelLoader still don't show the mission in question, Nameless. I will try to d/l other resent missions that I could not get via Chrome> Google drive and if I see that they dont appear in the loader too, I will adress the question to the AngelLoadr thread. :)

I checked 2 more missions, one for TG and one for T2 and they work properly with the loader...

I suspect this may have something to do with the fact that GDrive now sometimes does not allow indirect d/l's from unsecured sites, the solution is to copy and paste the link into your browser rather than trying to d/l directly from that link, see (https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151374) here for previous discussion.

For now, I have verified that something is wrong with my installations. When I load the OMs either by fmsel or by AngelLoader, for TGold it starts with no title and with missing objectives-just the squares before them are visible- and for T2 it starts Ultimate robbery (which is for TG). So, I have to probably reinstall the games first. Firefox worked perfect with GD, the fms are downloaded, it is just that some of them, don't show in the loaders. Probably related to some corrupted installations. Or I will just remove Ultimate robbery and see if things are back to normal.

Edit:
After clean reinstallation of both games and their TFixe's both OM's start correctly. (Although I hesitate to put Ultimate robbery back in the FM folder in case if I play it again might spoil my setup). BUT, the fms that didn't appear in the loaders (Nameless, Four Emperors i.e.) before the reinstallation, still were absent.
Then, I d/loaded AngelLoader v1.5.3 (I had 1.5.2) and they both appeared.

I don't want to start a new thread so I will post here something else that I noticed after my clean installation of the games. Now, every time I take a piece of loot or equipment, the newly obtained item do not instantly show left or right of my screen. I have to scroll to my loot to see what it was that I took, same with my weapons inventory. Not a huge deal, but I am used to instantly see what I grab. Is it something that I should change in the configuration files?
Plus, the objectives don't chime when accomplished, only the new ones have sound. Lol, scratch that, I had to turn on the goal notification and the autoequip...duh!!
