Good news. I loved world of G3, but not gameplay, it was too boring and horribly underdeveloped compared to previous installments, the world was too big for Pluto13 to properly implement gameplay mechanics in time.
I guess the addon won't actually expand G3 world as it was with G2 and Night of the Raven, but will include a relatively small new territory, separated from the original world.

Will the expansion include any of the (community) bug fixes for the game?

I
guess hope so. I hope they will even upgrade the game engine and adjust visual effects. As the community bugfixes are generated in cooperation with Spellbound and with approval by Jowood and they announced they are "studying the Gothic message boards each day and will incorporate as many of the fan-wishes as possible" so I see no reason why they shouldn´t. But you never know. To my knowledge the actual developer wasn´t named yet.

concept art anyone?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'd say, at the very least, that the most impressive ones are concept art.

Yeah, that's what I thought at first when I saw the breaking waves and the detail in the ropes of the collapsed bridge.. But the ones in the forrest are simply too unspecific to be concept art.
Also, what strikes me as odd for a concept drawing is the weird transparent fading of the trees in the image with the dome, usually that's a technique used in game to limit the number of items rendered. In photoshop you would just adjust the contrast to get a proper feel of depth.EDIT: Nevermind, confusing fog with a grassy background, no transparency to be seen... :/

Looks exactly like original Gothic3. I hoped they would change architecture/nature/sky etc. of the new location, to be distinctly different.

I'm surprised that Gothic 3 sold enough to warrant an expansion. I remember it price dropping amazingly quickly, and it was in a double pack with some other really buggy rpg within a year or so.
