I´ve start playing this game recently, and seems to be good. although i have a question, does the game detects my videocard and system? and therefore sets the video settings to run the game in good conditions? the game has set up the video mode to high quality, though the performance doesn´t seem to be so fluid like in the game "Risen" i already disabled the post processing mode to remove that shinning effect that i hate to see in the objects and world surface... is there any option wich i could disable to make the game preformance more fluid without loosing to much visual quality?

I´ve just installed the latest patch and it increases the performance speed :D, the game is more fluid this time, its fine now ;) I´m loving this game :)

Gunsmoke, have you played any of Spellbound's older games, namely from the Desperadoes series? If so, how were they?
I know that the English release of Helldorado only came out very recently.
Well, since cardia resurrected this thread, and I recently bought Helldorado...
Yes, I have. Helldorado is fucking really fun. I wouldn't pay more than $10-$15 for it, but man, it really has some fresh ideas for the genre. The 3rd person views, stealth kills, and endless choices are the highlights. I'll post more in the What Are You Playing thread when I get a little further along and can fill you in more on character progression/maps/story etc.

I guess im almost at the end of this game, and i must say im enjoying this game, Nice Design with beautifull landscapes, nice atmosphere, althought the transition between night\day rain\sun is a bit fast and abruptuous, the soundtrack is good, the storyline...well its ok :), the gameplay is enjoyable, and thank god i havent across with any bug so far unlike gothic 3. some of the characters clones are too obvious since one of them has a very characteristic face, when the face should be as much neutral as possible to make the repetition less obvious...anyaway this is a great game :D
Still...Ghotic 1 & 2 are still my favourite ones.
Has anyone played Two Worlds 2? its seems that this chapter is much better than the previous one, and this time it looks promising, i think i will buy it, after seeing some trailers and reviews i belive it can be worth playing Two World 2.

goddamn why am I replying to this piece of shit thread...
Did you play Two Worlds 1? If so, the sequel is just more of the same with a couple tweaks here and there. If you liked the first game, you will like the second.

Theres no reason to get angry, i was just seeking for opinions...no i didnt like two worlds 1, its a very amateur game. but if the second one is not much different then i better wait till the local pc magazine offers one copie so i may try it instead of buying.
Just finished Arcania...this one is shorter than the previous one, its the goals that leads you always foward without needing to return to previous zones. This is a nice game, although i did not understand why the atempt of using some of that silly sense of humor with a epic story of Gothic, where characters behave like silly people with silly voices...lol it reminds me those games like "armed and dangerous" or "overlord"...anyaway i think Gothic should be more serious justl ike the first two games gothic 1 & 2. and since when Lord Hagen speaks English with a Russian accent ? :)

hahaha, obviously you don't get when I am angry. That usually involves me going to my farm and shooting a HELLUVA lot of rounds into the old '58 Ford Fairlane rotting into the side of a hill I own. Also, old Televisions, dented cans of food my friend gives me, and if I am REALLY fired up...5-gallon gasoline cans/propane tanks.
I just made a snarky a snarky comment bro.

Just because Gothic 3's been mentioned in this thread (in 2009, but still) I feel obligated to say that G3 with community patch 1.74 is perfectly playable and pretty awesome, and that's coming from a guy who worships the ground G1 and G2 stepped on and for a long time thought G3 was shit (and it was shit before the patches). It's HUGE and filled with quests, the loading times aren't quite so bad. It chugs a bit after first running it for 15 seconds or so, but that's it. It's pretty scalable to boot, with plenty of ini tweaks (gothic 3 gametool, look it up). The artificial difficulty has been fixed with the addition of the alternative AI option.
Seriously, give it a chance if you like to run around a huge world, get xp and gp, and not get bored for many, many hours AND can give a little time to get accustomed to the occasional wonkiness.
