You should read Cosmic Trigger also. A pretty good one. Contrary to what most people think, RAW actually does believe that the Illuminati is a real group, he simply sees their control in a different light and examines more the metaphysical aspect of secret societies. You have some hints of it in Deus Ex, where Stanton Dowd explains that meditation is an important aspect of their quest for power. Spector did his homework for sure...
