Albert - I agree, I think HL2 still looks great!

I'd like to see something like the oft-quoted pictures; the atmosphere is brilliant. But it's very colourless. And quite run-down looking, in places (all those ridiculously rough cobbles). This might just be because it's nighttime, but I seem to recall coloured lights in Thief.

Expectations? It'll be middle-high range and probably pretty demanding. A little backwards compatibility for older machines would be nice.
Ideally? I want it to look as good as bloody well possible :D. Of course, when I mean good I don't simply mean checking all the 'graphical features' boxes. And it's unrealistic to expect the graphics to be AAAA+ without the rest of the game suffering.
