Green shadows and mucky textures

I know I've seen solutions for this problem somewhere before but I can't for the life of me find them. Anyway...

In Thief 2 I'm getting those ugly mucky textures, the most noticeable being the shadows are green tinted and the sky looks awful. In Thief Gold I don't have this problem, for whatever reason, I think I have a fix installed there but I had to reinstall Thief 2. I'm using Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS with 197.13 drivers.

Modern graphics cards (supporting DX10/Shader Model 4.0 and newer) don't support Thief 2's 8-bit dithering, the solution is to use DDFix. Thief 1 isn't affected because it doesn't use dithering.

The best version is (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125485&p=1950412&viewfull=1#post1950412) SiO's modded release that restores fog under Vista/Win7. Also (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131650&p=1977940#post1977940) Tafferpatcher for T2 should be a pretty pain free solution, it comes bundled with SiO's DDfix mod.

I recommend using DDfix for T1 regardless, as it forces it to use 32-bit colours. Thus the game looks better than it ever did in the past.
