It's worth the wait, man. I have to repost this from another forum (not my own post, but I love the experience it describes):
That's both awesome and kinda sad. "Look at us cool buds sitting on a couch, drinking booze, watching TV.... ingame." Why not do that with your real friends?
(granted I'm cherry picking all the other guns and robbers stuff thats not so fun in real life but you know what I mean :p ).

Who's to say they don't live in different cities, or even different countries? When you're in a teamspeak channel with people from all over the world it's sometimes fun to have a few minutes of downtime where nothing's happening and talk crap, tell jokes and stories, talk about local politics, etc. There's nothing sad about a multiplayer game catering to that.

Also, it's not like you can only do one or the other. Plus, the consequences of having the latter friend chased by police on the news in real life are significantly less fun than in a game.

When I turned off the computer yesterday it was 52/60GB downloaded. When I turn it on and start up the downloader this morning it tells me that the download has failed and it starts over again ticking upwards from 0MB/60GB. Then a few moments later it's like PSYCHE! and puts me back at 52GB. VERY FUNNY R* INSTALLER. VERY FUNNY. :grr:

I bought a physical copy because if I'm going to spend 35 quid on the game I want to have something to put on my shelf with all the earlier GTAs, and having a paper copy of the map is useful.
It comes on 7 DVDs :laff:

You need a DVD-ROM drive you can load like a pistol magazine.

Finally got the game installed last night. Kinda wish I'd put it on the SSD tho, as the load times are significant, especially in multiplayer, and I do get occasional stutter. Usually around sundown the game will start speeding up and slowing down, speeding up and slowing down. I tried just moving the folder to D: and using the mklink command to redirect stuff. But that didn't wanna work. I'm not gonna redownload the whole damn thing so I'm not sure if there's any way around it.
Anyway, enjoying the game. The vehicle handling isn't as bad as I remember it. I mean I don't think it's as good as in GTA IV, but it's still better than in every other GTA-alike. And the first person mode adds so much. I love just driving around the city that way. GTA Online is fun too. Just had a good time running meth with Thirith! :D
Also when you use voicechat to talk in-game your character ACTUALLY MOVES HIS MOUTH TO TALK! How next-level is that?
Thirith on 19/4/2015 at 14:23
The driving gets better as your character builds up skill, if I remember correctly. It's like San Andreas in that respect. I was quite surprised at how badly I fared in the first Franklin mission in the game on PC, but vehicles in Online, where I'm still leveled up from the PS3, handle just fine.
Will be back online for some fun and crime in about an hour. Hoping that more TTLG folks can join!

My first attempt at the video editor.

Never did try out the editor in GTA IV, but I used to love making videos in Driver's Director Mode. This reminds me of that, but with significantly more options. :)
