I can now officially attest that henke is good people, in case anyone ever doubted this. GTA Online is great fun - but we need more people for the TTLG crew. There are tons of missions that are fun with a couple of people but much more so with larger groups. C'mon, folks, some of you must be playing GTA V!
Talking of crews, though, so far I've found that the Play with Crew/Friends option *never* works for me. Starting a session and inviting friends to join it, no problem, but Play with X always gives me an error message and dumps me in a random session or puts me in a session on my own.
On the other hand, I'm positively surprised how well voice chat in the game works, although I've run into a few people who didn't change it from Press To Talk to Voice Activated and were surprised when no one could hear them speak. I wonder how well this works with larger groups of 20+ people.

I feel for anyone who bought a download copy. Installing the last 5GB over the Internet took longer than the first 55GB did off DVD.

Yeah, it did rather feel like Zeno's Paradox towards the end there. Then again, I've simply run out of physical space for games, and that's after getting rid of the games I'll never play again and that have no sentimental value. Did downloading the game mean that I only got to play it half a day later? Yes. Did I mind? ... yes, but now that I'm playing it it's all cool, man.

Hah, just had a great perfect motorcycle race. I was the lowest rank at level 9, and the highest was level 85, but I must have been the only one paying attention to what the race "Obstacle What?" consisted of and chose the Sanchez dirt bike. I overtook all the muppets on their superbikes at the second obstacle and finished 30 seconds ahead of the next best guy :D
And then the game crashed on me because apparently I was signed in elsewhere.
Getting really tired of this shit now.

I just saw a reference somewhere that said the entire game is playable in first person now. Wow. Guess I'll be picking this up!

Yeah, it can be, but to be honest, it's more advantageous to play in third person in most scenarios. Awareness of what's around you is MUCH better, and the FOV in first-person mode is very limited.
