It's also been running well for me, by and large; two random lock-ups, but otherwise it runs perfectly. However, on the design side they've made a couple of major blunders. There's absolute gold in GTA Online, but some functionality that should be obvious is either hidden extremely well or just doesn't exist. For instance, you can start an invite-only session from single player, but once you're in a MP session with others you have to go back to SP to start an invite-only session. Stuff like that makes me wonder - did no one ever bring up that this might be a good option to have, or did they just randomly decide that people won't want to change from public sessions to private ones anyway?

Past couple of days, I've been playing the story mode mostly in first-person.
And I've noticed something that's a lovely little touch: your view is tinted by the colour of glasses your character is wearing, or by the visors of motorcycle helmets. In addition, masks seem to vignette the view port.
The level of detail they put into this game is truly incredible.
Mind you, the lack of TrackIR support is driving me nuts. When driving in particular, I'll notice I'm physically moving my head while playing. I've always been this type of gamer, trying to peer around the edge of the screen, so I took to TrackIR in Elite like a duck to water. It would make GTA V's first person driving in particular so much easier. While I'm pretty damn good at driving in first person now, I still get blind-sided due to a lack of peripheral vision. TrackIR would solve this completely.

That would be great, as would (I imagine) VR support. This'll sound silly, but I'd love to just explore Los Santos and surroundings with that kind of setup; no missions, no crimes, no silly killing sprees, just exploring and *being* in that amazing space that Rockstar have created.

Malf, henke, I greatly enjoyed today's session, in spite of the heist bugging out at the very end. Two things I remembered too late: I believe we can call Lester, and perhaps Merryweather, for a helicopter, which should help with that assassination mission. Also, it might be worth buying snacks at a shop, since those can be eaten during missions to replenish health.
Hoping that we can finish that heist and start the next one Saturday next week. Would the same time work? And are any other TTLGers around at 4pm UK time?

Yeah, was good fun again, and I'll definitely be up for more next Saturday.

Hey gang - unfortunately I'm unlikely to make Saturday's GTA session. I might be around, but no promises, and even if, I'd basically be on call and might have to drop out of a heist at short notice. Sorry about that.

I'm going to try to be around again on Saturday (10AM here, US Central Time), so hopefully I can get in on the fun. Don't think I can stick around for any 5 hours marathon session, but an hour or two should be doable.

I'm going to be out around our usual time, so will have to miss it, sorry guys :(

Yeah, currently I don't know when I'll be back - but I definitely want to play with you guys again. It just might be a couple of weeks before my Saturdays open up again. I'll either post something here or send PMs once I know more, so we can co-ordinate.

I understand. Next Saturday is Eurovision Song Contest finals after all, a man's gotta have priorities.
