First, some bitching about MS Points
So, those 2100 Microsoft Points packages they sell in the store are kind of a rip-off, eh? I mean, a game typically costs 400, 800, or 1600 points. So after you've bought your game, or two games, you're left with some odd number like 500 points. What the hell do you do with 500 points? Sure, you could buy Doom, which is like 400, but I hear it's not very good. And you'd have 100 points left over anyway. Why don't they just sell em in an even 2000 point-package and give me SOME GOD DAMN PEACE OF MIND?? AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!
But I digress...
Last weekend I bought 2100 MS Points, like a chump, then went home and downloaded the new GTA4 chapter. Started playing when I got home from work today and here are my first impressions.
Good stuff:
* The bike-races borrow heavily from Road Rash. You can now use melee weapons while riding your bike. There's something very satisfying about smacking another racer, who's about to overtake you, in the face and seeing his ragdoll-body go bouncing of the tarmac and smack into the back of a truck. :cheeky:
* Interesting characters and plot so far. There's a lot of tension in the air between Johnny and Billy. But occasional glimpses of brotherly love as well. I don't mean any of that in a gay way.
Bad stuff:
* The multiplayer bike-races I am finding not to be as instantly gratifying as their RoadRashy counterparts. Normally everyone gets too spread out for the melee combat to be effective and when takeovers occur they're usually too fast for anyone to get a good whack in. This might be fixed by the passing of time and the honing of skills however. I'm sure that when I do finally manage to smack someone off their bike, instead of just making them wobble around a bit, it'll be all the more satisfying.
* The cellphone is smaller than before. On CRT TV's the text-messages are now practicaly unreadable.

Didn't even mention the weapons did ya? I find the grenade launcher very satisfying because I can blast those bastards that hide behind dumpsters and act like they're bloody invincible.

MS points are pretty much Mickey Mouse money.

I've played the first couple of mission so far and like it quite a bit.
I dunno about Sweden, henke, but over here MS launched a The Lost and Damned branded 1600 point package. They usually only do 2100's here too.

LOL, yeah. I saw that at the store when I went to buy the points. There was the 2100 MS Points package and the 1600 MS Points "Lost & Damned" package sitting next to each other. The kicker? They both cost 30 euros. Only with the Lost and Damned package you get 500 points less.
PS. I live in Finland, not Sweden.

Not to mention the fact that point prices don't fluctuate with the currency values, so we're stuck with outdated, expensive pricing.
Sorry to further derail your thread but I just feel so strongly about this issue IT MUST BE ADDRESSED!
