Hey folks, been going through the fan mission campaigns and i am currently doing Haddur, but i think i might have run into a fmdml patch issue.
In Haddur mission 2 (NewBorn), the lootgoal is unreachable, the lootlist archive ((
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148764) , its in the 2005 missions, as "Haddur") mentions that a dml patch would fix loot items being unfrobable, but that doesnt seems to be happening even after using the dml fix pack.
Theres also 2 mask that are also flagged as loot in DromEd which are also unfrobable.
Can somebody help me? Theres very little info on this mission pack and its weird nature leaves me unsure if i am doing something wrong, if i am suffering from a newdark bug or i simply failed to do somekind of elaborate puzzle to gather the loot.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Manually adding the dml patch through dromed fixed the issue, i am not entirely sure why it wasnt working automatically before, as i did enabled the FM DMLs through T2Fix!

Those masks are not meant as loot as the author clearly made those masks unfrobbable. The objective says something about wearing masks will protect you, so it's all a bit misleading as the author didn't remove the value of those masks from the loot count so the end game stats are out by 100g without the dml, the only piece of loot that is meant to be collected is some sort of particle beam on a mound (100g), which the dml fixes correctly

Thanks the for clarifying it :D
But sadly i came across another problem, in Mission 5 (Siege) even with the dml patch, the mission still doesnt end when its "supposed to", in the lootlist archive, it says that the mission would end as you get near the Townhall, killing the super tought Mechanist guard there, while escorting your 2 buddies.
I killed that mechanist and theres still no way to actually win the mission, i also tried some diferent approaches like letting my NPC friends kill him, but the result is the same.
I also checked Ricebug's walkthrough and he mentions he had to use the mission skip cheat to win, but i dunno if a dml patch existed back when he first wrote the walkthrough.
Is there once again a problem with a DML patch? i reinstalled T2Fix and Haddur's first mission is now working as intended, as were missions 2 to 4.
Once again i call upon the community for help!

This mission is a bleeding mess, I think the author himself just gave up on it as he set the end room behind a brick wall that Kean and Vennock are meant to get past. Bottom line is Turi Robert didn't have a scoobie about Dromed and certainly was well out of his depth trying to do anything beyond really basic Dromed instructions.
Unna and I spent days trying to find a way to make the mission finish using only very basic clues that the author left in Dromed, we did it in the end but I wouldn't be surprised if a later version of Newdark screws up what we attempted with the dml.
How we fixed it was that when you get past all the AI's by running round the whole town and come to the brick wall that is the way into the inner circle of the city, you'll find a hut or building with Kean + Vennock inside, you need to bash the door down as one of those has the key to that door and there's no other way in, then make you way into the inner town area by mantling over the brick wall and read the scroll in front of the canon. Kean and Vennock will then be teleported into the inner town area, from there make your way around to the front of the town hall with Kean and Venice following you, where the mission will finish near the gong when they kill the mech guard.
From what you have said it sounds like you have done the right thing in getting your 2 buddies across the wall and round to the town hall, but atm moment I'm not too keen to revisit this mission, it's genuinely a terrible campaign, but if you give me a day or two I might test it again, but no promises. :p

Would love if you could test it out (at least the 5th level that i am stuck at), i tried killing every enemy around the town hall area (everything past the Wall section) but that didint help. The one thing i havent tested is killing *every* mechanist in the level, that might be it, but i have no idea anymore.
The sad thing is that i can see the potential in what the author was trying to do, but the direction-less objectives and huge maps with lots of empty spaces (and completely broken shadows) really makes it hard for me to enjoy this, but i shall soldier on regardles.
I just feel bad at having to CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + END my way to victory... lol

Sums up the whole campaign as well as his other projects. You can see potential in all the missions he made but nothing he ever did was well executed.

I've found a couple of issues
First I discovered the .gam.dml in the FMDML package doesn't seem to be working correctly, when playing via T2Fix with FMDML activated I couldn't frob the scroll by the cannon so Kean + Vennok didn't teleport across the brick wall. Can't say why it didn't work but have reported this to Jax, T2Fix and FMDML is his domain.
Secondly when you do get round to the big boss fight by bashing the gong, when the big boss comes down stairs if you the player kills him the mission does not end, but if you leave it entirely to Kean + Vennok the kill him then the mission finishes correctly.
I've asked Jax to change the .gam in the next T2Fix update and look into why the mission doesn't finish if you the player kills the big boss, it maybe the case that the author set it up that way, if so we'll leave it as such and I'll amend my lootlist to explain how the mission needs to be played to finish correctly.

The problem is this solution is very difficult to achieve. I remember in my playthrough few months ago (with dml) I also couldn't finish the mission. First I couldn't bring Kean to the bodies, because after teleportation to the cannon he was getting killed, because unlike Vennon he doesn't have infinite number of health. Or he could refuse to move forward and to the bodies I could go only with Vennon. And here is different obstacle - spawning Mechanist is hard, but it also allows outside guards to enter, engage battle with Mechanist and kill him. And if they do that mission also doesn't end. So with Vennok being the only one to kill Mechanist to complete this mission, finishing this mission is very difficult and unintuitive.

I know the mission is a bit of a mess (brownie points to me for understatement of the day) but when fixing missions we have always followed the golden rule of not changing design features placed there by the author wherever possible.
The issue we fundamentally fixed was finding a way to get Kean and Vennok across the brick wall via a teleport triggered by frobbing the scroll, and secondly giving them AIWatch so they followed you round to where the big boss fight is meant to take place, but them following you is a bit of a Thief engine issue because if you run ahead of them too rapidly they lose sight of you and stop where they are, which means you have to go back to collect them.
Preventing spawning Mechanists and changing Vennok's + Kean's hit points was not something we considered doing as it is now possible, although still a bit buggy, to get them into place to get the mission finished.
