Ocasionally, but normally the people making the game just have to tone it down.

From what I`ve played of SH4 (via emulation) most of its not too bad, other than the invinceable ghosts. I cant stand invinceable or constantly respawning enemies in games.
I`m not however saying that its a great game or anything. Silent Hill 1,2 and 3 are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better.
And on the topic, they can ban all the games they like. All it means is that we`ll have to go on ebay to get them. I did that in the case of the uncensored version of GTA4.

I didn't mind the ghosts at all. Felt it was a refreshing idea, actually. And some of the unique ghosts are awesome (Braintree, Cynthia). Also, you kind of get a chance to get rid of at least some of the ghosts.
But when half way through the game requires you to go through all the levels again, it's aaaaaaarghhhhirbhiewruvbiqeurbvqer.
Also, not a good set of regular monsters in this one, and what the hell Yamaoka was thinking when he chose the sounds for some of them, I don't know.

SH4 was merely irritating at first, but when they make you do it again- with Walter or whatever that Kurt Cobain looking dude was, chasing after you... I quit. Fuck that game.

Oy vey, the latter half of SH4. I completely agree. A couple weeks of self-flagellation wouldn't do it justice.
