Ohhhh! I get it! A "contribution" is what others consider to be an informative post or opinion posted in response to a.) previous posts by other members, or, b.) the basic thread about which you have a definite (& definitive) opinion. This excludes non-sensical, non-informative quips.

That seems to be relative to whoever is reading & responding to your post, though. You might think your post is valid, but two other members will tell you you're full of shit and the third will like it. Sometimes I think there are "older" members who judge a newer member's posts on their registration date, sadly enough. Not that I've ever posted anything
profound (at least, not yet :cheeky: ). But Spitter does have a point (which I know I need to observe but somehow can't when I read a post to which I must respond or my head'll explode), lurking more helps.
