Eventually we gotta figure out who G-Man actually is, right?
My money's on Adrian Shephard...

nothing much happened in the first place:
1) HL2 - the dad was kidnapped?
2) EP1 - the girl was kidnapped?
3) EP2 - the dad and the girl were killed?
Not exactly. Both Alyx and her dad were captured during HL2 although not at the same time. No-one was captured in EP1 - Alyx accompanied you throughout the whole episode, with the two of you getting separated only occasionally and never for too long. Eli does get killed in EP2 but it definitely makes for a good cliffhanger IMO.

...those interminable stretches of fidgeting about with some mechanic (ant lions, say) or stuck in some boring place for ages and ages. They finally got it dead right, by my measure and they shouldn't go back to any old habits.
FINALLY, someone else who wasn't too keen on those antlions. Personally I found that whole section pretty tedious in HL2. The antlions always got on my nerves, and I was often lobbing the pheropods off in the distance just to get them to clear off - they always kept coming back though. I actually realised that those pheropods are essentially useless: the game keeps summoning up new antlions for you automatically and they'll go off and attack any nearby targets by themselves anyway. If one gets killed, a new one will usually pop in immediately to replace it. You don't even have to have the pheropod in your hand.

Oh get a clue. UT3 failed primarily because of the CORE VANILLA GAME pandered to console gamepad controls and thus alienated a lot of their PC audience. Modding potential has next to fuck all to do with why that game failed commercially. The evidence in this is UT3's original less mouse friendly original GUI (prior to the redesign in the "Black" patch and Titan Pack) and that UT3 weapons requiring less accuracy to operate and were more instagib.
...and the fact that its approach to saving the single-player game is appaling!

That's the same one for L4D
1 from January 6th, 2009 I mentioned in my post, genius. Reading is fundamental.
I did miss the Dec. 22nd one, but since it only ever got mentioned on blogs it's easy to miss. So four total, with a fifth coming at some indeterminate point in the future.

30 hours without a return volley. I think I win by default.

You both lose because you're a couple of turdburglars trying to win the internet over a ridiculously stupid argument.

It seems like Serious Sam visits City 17. It must be early, because Minerva is traditionally much, much better than that.
