serious computer issues if Steam is giving you problems, the only problem I've ever had was counter strike fragmented on me once.

I used to play it, but some things are just annoying. The worst was Combat Mode- since the aliens need to morph up into higher forms every time they spawn and that takes time, the game is intentionally stacked so they are more powerful to make up for the long amounts of time it takes to spawn. What it means for a marine, however, is that you get raped every single time you see an enemy.

I have to say that one of the funnest/funniest HL mods i ever played was Earths special forces, aka the DBZ mod, I'm not really a anime fan at all but i found the mod to be very fun.

actually, one second, lemme dig up some great SP mods that i enjoy.
first and foremost is (

next up is (
http://www.planetphillip.com/posts/black-ops-half-life/) black ops, using the poke646 textures, and draws a lot of inspiration from max payne, among other things.
finally, one of my all-time favourites, even if it's in czech, dead (
http://www.planetphillip.com/posts/dead-sector-half-life/) sector. it may take some experimentation to work out the controls, though, as it's all in czech, but it's worth it. avoid the HL2 version like yellow snow.
