(
http://mods.moddb.com/2323/hostile-intent/) Hostile Intent is a very realistic multiplayer team fps.
No hud, not even kill reports (so you have to tell your team you killed them), no ammo count, only tells you # of mags left when you reload, reload and you lose all bullets in that clip, etc
I actually haven't played it yet, but I ran through the maps and it seemed neat.
(
http://www.desert-crisis.net/content.php?id=1) Desert Crisis was really, really great too (multiplayer team fps). 4 armor classes, tons of weapons, perks, and extra equipment to choose from, lighter classes can jump off walls, akimbo any 1-handed weapon. This really is loads of fun, but I'm not sure if anyone plays it any more. Maybe you should help out!

it's funny if something just doesn't work right on YOUR system it immediately becomes the biggest crap software put out on purpose to destroy the human race once and for all. :joke:
Hell yes. Anything that is forced upon you after buying something deserves a neckshot, especially if it involves adds, and just doesn't work. Finally got the crap to do what it was made for, forcing me to watch adds when enjoying my purchase and enjoying it I am. Especially Opposing forces is great, but where can I find the improved textures in blue strike?

The adds (sic) aren't as bad as you say they are, besides the games stop generating revenue to the point where it costs them to keep the servers running, so they had to put in some type so they could at least break even. The ads don't really tend to break immersion because come on CS and Deathmatch aren't realistic. It isn't "forced" upon you, if you wanna play without ads you can go back to the WON servers instead of Steam (and before any of you say they shut it down, WON2 is up and running, do a Google search before you say something stupid). While you're googling, look up basic economics as well. I'd rather keep the ads than have to pay extra on admin privileges to pay for content servers as well as hosting servers.
Opposing Force(s) is singular, and it's called Blue Shift.

Oh blue shift not strike, sorry did my basic economics in France. I dunno, when I said adieu most games had this nifty thing in the menu called multiplayer, it allowed you to host games and funny stuff like that. Was pretty much free and not that much of a hassle :erg:

Doubt Half-life 2 will run, got only 1.6 mhz and 512 MB.
This might be the reason Steam is so unstable for you.
Fragony on 7/10/2007 at 03:08
Well all works now, except downloading mods, just doesn't react. Have to admit that steam is pretty slick once you get it to do what it is made to do, Belboz explanation sounds pretty plausable, was just too crowded I guess. And man does blue shift rock, even the graphics are still great if you give them some time. Satelite connection is fantastic, can't wait to play a match in the train or park or whatever :thumb:

I wholeheartedly recommend (
http://si.planethalflife.gamespy.com/) Science and Industry for an enjoyable MP mod. I played 0.96c and .97a/b religiously way back in 2000 and 2001.
It's a damn shame this mod didn't get more attention, it's quite fun and thanks to the tech tree upgrade of weapons, armour and implants, the game dynamic changes as the round goes on. Make sure you read the manual thoroughly before playing, especially the tech tree progression.

most of those mods will automatically install for you, some of them (like dead sector) install to c:/sierra by default unless you manually change the install directory to match the steam version.
secondly, you have to restart steam for the new mods to appear in the games list. this doesn't apply to official mods like day of defeat or CS, by the way.
thirdly, i have a zip file of zombie .wavs i drew from HL2 for use in HL1. it's not complete as HL1 zombies use fewer sound files, but i put some thought into the ones i picked. anyone wants it, PM me and i'll upload.

(
http://www.amphibian.myzen.co.uk/HL/) Amphibian Mods: Half-Life SinglePlayer
Plenty of singleplayer mods listed for HL1 and other games as well. As mentioned, I recommend the Poke:646 mods, Dead Sector, Sweet Half-Life and Peaces Like Us. Be sure to check the Puppy Years mod, its fun. ;)
Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the They Hunger series. I thought it much to long with relentless amount of zombies. Make no mistake its impressive for its age however its just to long.

Is it easy to install? Not that good with computers :o
Anything that ups the experience is welcome, can somebody please tell me where the improved textures on Blue Shift can be found? The games run like a dream, I can weight it down somewhat
OWWWW Ladron De La Noche, so many of them :)
