If I recall correctly,
you have to put them on the same table as the button and you have to put the wire first. If you did that and it didn't work, then I don't know what to say.
That's what i did. I even reloaded my last save before i tried it and it still don't work. I just
drop the wire first then the powder on top of it.
UGH...nevermind i just tried the latest nvscript. guess mine was out of date.

Where exactly is the dynamite ?

carlos: You have to find a metal key next to three flares in the big library area. To do so, you have to climb the big ladder and enter two rooms, one of which has a flickering light. Once you have it, you have to use the grappling hook in the library on a beam. To know where to use it, find a part of the library with rocks and a collapsed doorway, and look up. Climb the rope and you will enter a dark room with a coffin and some pews. Close to this room is another one with a statue, two doors and some rocks. The dynamite is in the room on the left, which should open with the key you got.

In the snowy area with two patrolling lantern-carrying zombies, I'm having difficulty locating the bag with powder. Can anyone spoil me?
Tannar on 6/12/2012 at 19:42
@ The Phantom: Just below the platform where you start that section, there is an open window. Hop up and through that. Just realize that once you go through that window, the only way out is through a door and you'll need a key for it. So if you haven't found any keys, don't go through there until you do.

Thanks Tannar! I found the bag. Completely overlooked that area.
I didn't jumped through that window however, but took the other way around (via the opening on the other side of the area) until I ended at the locked door. No risk of getting trapped this way.

Mission complete in 38 minutes.
I've got mixed feelings about this mission. I think the atmosphere is very well done, with the pitch black darkness (similar as in Shadows of Eidolon), the use of flares and the lack of any weapons. Pretty creepy. Also kudos for including a short briefing.
The use of objects in the world (dynamite, grappling hook) is a nice touch, although it doesn't always have the desired effect. Sadly any form of story background is pretty much non-existent. The mission is in need of more polishing, so hopefully we'll see an updated version at some point after the contest.
Overall, some frustrating moments aside, I liked it :). Vote cast.

if this mission wasn't pitch black i would have enjoyed it
never completed it as when you run out of flares=game over
and why rocks on floor hurt me i got no idea
Tannar on 7/12/2012 at 17:20
There are lots if flares if you can find them. And later you get a lantern to carry around. There is a text somewhere that explains the rocks.
