Give it a try -- version 7 shouldn't be a problem -- just a little choppier. Version 8.x is more efficient, so gameplay may be a little smoother, that's all .. and with this mission, you can use all the help you can get.
Let me know how it goes, and I can make a note of this for future release notes.

Played Hallucinations today. Started and finished in a short evening, which is a bit of a feat for me, considering the size and complexity. Even managed to find all the secrets and only ran out of time once (on Hard looking for a way onto the balcony) I had a great amount of fun, and I was very impressed with the attention to detail. At one point, I was just east of the East-West bridge going up the hill and something on the roof of one of the buildings caught my eye. I zoomed in on it and saw it was just a smokestack. Not a big deal, except it was a small smokestack on a high building in a narrow street that you'd never notice except by accident or specifically looking for it.
But the best part was the suspense. Being poisoned and those occasional and irritating gasps of pain kept me on the edge of my seat right until the end. At one point, I had an unfortunate encounter in the backyard of the mortuary with Benny and a zombie that left me very low on health. I was really sweating about being able to find a health potion as I entered the building and searched around, and found no potions on the first floor. I finally found some and recovered. And I almost felt bad about turning off that lovely music.
Who's been able to identify all of the "paintings"? The one in Garrett's apartment is obvious. Of the ones in the mortuary, I recognized "Equilibrium", and "Saturio Returns Home", and the one with the lighthouse looks familiar, but I can't remember the name. The other two there I don't know about. But...
The last screenshot, I know I've seen it but can't for the life of me remember where. And is there a reason why the clocks in that room tell the "wrong" time?
This also makes for a fun "scavenger hunt" as you try to find all the places the healing vials are hidden. Just how many are there in all?
The only problem... that I'll have to wait for part two.

I don't know how many there are in the released version. I didn't really go out of my way to find any 'cause I tested the rough versions and knew I'd stumble across enough to keep me alive. In the alpha version I finished w/ about 12 or so unused vials. Frobber was very concerned w/ the number of potions to leave around...not wanting the game to be too easy or too hard. Like a Keeper he tried to keep the balance. I can say there are probably some in out-of-the-way places as there were many hard to find ones in the alpha and beta. It would be a good exercise to find all the potions and complete the mission on expert. I'd suggest and lot of climbing and ledge walking;) Oh yeah and don't forget to turn around when the game begins in the graveyard. :cheeky:

In the mortuary, the light house painting is from gonchong's Willow Island, and the one hanging over the fireplace is from Raid on Washout Central. The one with the guard facing away is from Embracing the Enemy, and...
the one in the clockmaker's room on the compter screen is an odd view from the end of Benny's Dead. The clocks are wrong down there because this really is the room where I tweaked the clocks prior to moving them into place, so these are just what remains of that portion of the design process.
BTW, the painting over Garrett's own fireplace is from Lorgan's Web -- not from either of my own missions. Shadowspawn starts his mission in the same neighborhood, which we both stole from Thief 1.
Regarding healing vials -- I have no idea how many there are. I just wanted there to be enough so it wouldn't turn exclusively into a vial-easter-egg hunt. There are actually fewer on Normal, because they heal a lot more on Normal. And there are few less on Expert, just to keep things interesting.
Part Two will be out by the end of the summer.

Frobber,
Excellent mission! I just can't seem to get past all those
guards and zombies in front of the cathedral.
any advice/hints? I did manage to get past that moving gate by
following a guard in
but I can't get past the main gate. Also where the $%%# is the mortician so I can find that watch??!! I did manage to eavesdrop on the conversation of my poisoner. This fm has a lot of shall we say "grit" to it. No rated PG-13 here. he he. Thanks for any help. I am attempting this on expert.

Playing on Expert first is tough -- since you don't know where to go, and things happen fast. In testing the Expert mode I was able to read and hear everything and win on-time ... but only because I knew exactly where to go ;)
The cathedral gate...
will be locked -- and if you have a key, you can lean from the shadows to open it. But if it's late in the game, it can be hard to do this -- as you point out. I'd recommend saving at least one invisibilty potion to make it easier when the time comes -- though if you can wait a few minutes, things may clear up -- most AI are not programmed to be there more than anywhere else.
But you'll need to get to the mortuary before you can complete the mission... and the mortuary is located...
north of the town square down the hill and across the river.
Frobber!!      I almost didn't make it to the gate in time with that key, but I just made it as the inside gate was closing... and then Wha the f... mission ends with a cute little "to be continued". aaarrgh!! Well, if your goal was to have everyone on the edge of thier computer chairs... :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
It was a blast. Can't wait for the sequel.
