I just started to explore it yesterday, being intrigued by a review which I couldn't resist to read and OMIGOD.
Now I understand that Elder Scrolls saga and similar are not the worst thing what can happen to a gamer.
I feel like I want to be a 14 years old girl to have time for it and feel appropriately.
Any suggestions for a cure? Merciless deletion? I admit my life may not be the most appealing on Earth BUT IT'S STILL MINE!

I honestly think that if you might enjoy it, why not? People can enjoy casual games and still be hardcore, masculine gamers dripping with testosterone.

A bottle of rum down the hatches? Oh wait, that's how you cope when females come to your house to play Sims 3 because you always get a pizza and some beers.
God damn how many days I've lost because of that game. I want my time back. :(

The only cure is to play the game by micro-managing it intensely for a couple of days. That should burn you out for a while.
Still, it's a fantastic game, and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

You play games for fun no? Sims games are fun, doesn't make you gay just mildly bi-curious.

FUN. That's it. Yes, it's so much fun and so many possibilities that it steals much of my time for other interesting games, books, films, creative activities, duties, etcetera. I didn't meant to say that the game is childish, it's a sophisticated life/social simulator, the best one out there and that's the key problem. I thought my 4 months long exploration of Fallout 3 was a big deal but as I see it now, it was nothing. Also it would be diffucult not to become slave of upcoming 20 data discs once I'll be fully hooked. This is an ideal game for people who barely play anything else and if they do, they're unemployed/have no family to care of. This is not just a casual game, this is full time job. No?

As silly as it sounds, it might be an idea only to play The Sims 3 on alternating days, and on the other days you play, read or watch something else. :)

I really do have to limit my Sims usage, otherwise I'd never get anywhere bloody near Moria.
Really wishing they'd bring back the university life stage though.

I'm sure they will; just as either DLC or an expansion.
I also really miss the Seasons and Freetime content, especially the hobby stuff.

Hobby stuff I didn't use so much, but yes I would love seasons back too.
