So it seems as if the fan missions have been discontinued. I know everybody is pretty much playing Darkmod these days... but does anyone know why they stopped making these missions? It seemed so ambitious, I suppose it was exactly that, 'too ambitious'

??? this thread is in reference to a sequel to "Seven Shades of Mercury" we all know you are playing with dromed.
as for a sequel, i can't find any working links. the .cz site now belongs to some band... and the links i found for alexius are broken.

The OP almost makes it sound like no one is making Thief FMs anymore, because they've moved on to the Dark Mod. Obviously very far from the truth. But in regards to the Imperium project, I think Alexius always had issues hitting the poly and object limits with Dromed, so the project died. He could probably accomplish his goals now with NewDark, but I think he threw in the towel for good a long time ago.
But no, there was never a mission 2, nothing after "7 Shades" was ever released. And Alexius hasn't been around here for several years.

Correct on all counts as far as I know, Mike. There are partial missions floating around for, I believe, missions 2 and 5, which could be completed in NewDark if anyone had the time and wherewithal to do so, but it would be a huge amount of work. Helping with Seven Shades took nearly a year of my time away from my own missions, so I'm not interested.
If nothing else, though, it would be cool if someone took mission #2, which I believe is the freakingly huge cathedral (it dwarfs the one in Seven Shades), and got it running in NewDark and released it as an empty mission for folks to walk around in (and perhaps use as a base for their own mission). But I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that without the approval of Alexius or at least someone on the original team. I'm friends with him on Facebook so I can always ask how he feels about someone doing that.

I am shattered!! I just finished Mission 1 and I thought there were more. What a bummer! :nono: :(

Indeed. Also, to follow up to my remark above, I messaged Alexius on Facebook about allowing me or someone to release the mission 2 cathedral and he never responded. :(

I know one thing: I have send a mail to Alexius to know If I could translate the mission, and modifying the schema because the voices are all uncompleted.
He answered me and tell me ok.
Although, I've asked too if he continue to create the campaign, he answered me "No", that he spent three years and that it is enough. Now, he's working in comics...
He seems totaly uninterested on the campaign, Shivan, even Thief Series...
So, I asked him if he will help if someone build a team and want to proceed the campaign, or just send the entire storyline for that.
He never answered...
I think that he totaly don't care at all about it...

I was sorta the tea-boy for 'mission one' as I didn't want to see all that hard work go to waste I made a point of contacting all the people involved to get it out the door etc. Yandros and myself have copies of three unfinished missions if you want a copy of them and I am happy to help test the missions. I don't have any Dromed experience, but with all the stuff I have done for TheDarkmod, I can help with audio creation, voice work, texture creation and beta testing.
