I've been staying at the old homestead, taking care of my elderly folks for a 2-month stint. They've both forgotten my birthday today, and Pop already yelled at me twice this morning, throwing a book at my head (he has dementia). You have no idea how much this little post means to me today. For a day that started off so lame, it ended up okay. I didn't get to taff yesterday, but I did ride out in the old pickup to a bluegrass jam just up the road. Something about joining in a good jam that is always very uplifting. When I got home, our neighbor across the street had made me a cake. Had cake and wine for supper and got some work done on a couple of hopefully-someday-to-be-released FMs.
Fell asleep with frosting in my hair. (Not sure how I managed that)
