Thanks again everyone! I had a very nice weekend celebrating, now it's time to get back to work :)
@AntiMatter_16: A fix for the lightmap alignment problems, finally. I still have to finish it before putting into SVN, but I finally understood what was wrong (For those interested: The lightmap UV shifts are sometimes off by a multiple of 64 pixels, as the original implementation used solely 64x64 bitmaps to store the surface cache and wrapping was used to put these back to the 0-64 range). So no more lightmap glitches, yay!
