Yeah I know, my knowledge of Mexican culture is appaling. I'm playing Guacamelee right now to rectify that. Learning all about Boneface and Flamehead and the Luchadores with their powers of Rooster Uppercut and Goat Jump. So much rich history! :D

According to Sulph's link, Finland is the 7th happiest country in the world. Yay! :D But according to dema's link we're one of the countries with the highest rates of depression. Boohoo! :(

Each year, Duckie's thread brings a thought to mind. And since I'm relatively new around here, I'm always interested in knowing more about the history of TTLG's members. So each year, I wonder if this would be a good idea or not, then promptly forget to actually bring it up due to booze and endless porn searches. But, now, here it is: I propose we adopt a sticky-thread in memory of those TTLG members who are no longer with us as sort of a place to celebrate and remember; and a place to let new members know what and who they missed, and to share and keep cherished memories alive for the seasoned vets.
Any seconds? Or is this yet another in a long line of silly ideas?

That would be kinda depressing actually. I toyed with the idea of a "Best Ever Threads" post where people could link to some awesome/hilarious threads from back in the day. Then I thought about that idea for a bit, and got depressed.

Depressing and there's just too many -- and it might backfire when we inevitably leave some people out, either intentionally (for space) or unintentionally.
I appreciate that beloved members no longer amongst the living get a special remembrance under their nick though, a la Zaccheus and fluke.
We might have a nostalgia thread where people dig up links of their favorite past threads to chat about though. That sounds like a respectable idea to me. If it's packaged like, these are things it's fun to know happened here if you weren't around back then....

Ah, TTLG we do have a long history with ye and its members...some who are no longer here with us.
R.I.P.

I thought of this too, ages ago. But yeah it's too depressing.
