So I own all three of the thief games. And of the three I love thief 2 the metal age the most by far. However like thief gold, for some reason I get framerate stutters. It goes from 60 to 35 for a quarter of a second before going right back up to 60.
For example on the last mission sabtoge, I unlocked the framerate and it hovers between 50-140. And even when it is clearly above 60 it feels slow and stutters? (I only have a 60hz refresh rate monitor)
Which gets really annoying. So just wondering if anyone got thief 2 on gog and is it any better?

But that sounds like an issue with your hardware setup rather than the game. AFAIK the gog version just uses Tafferpatcher and other such fixes that you can get from the Thief forums, so wouldn't make any difference to how the engine runs. Are you using NewDark?

I heard the gog version has less "junk" compared to the steam version? What do you think is wrong with my hardware setup? I have a gaming laptop. I don't know about new dark, I think so? I have Tafferpatcher installed.
