Don't question it; just read the first 2-3 pages of Angie Gallant's epic play-through of the demo:

If you're not hooked by that point, you're not going to be. Me, I just finished the thread, and started on the follow-up (written once she got her hands on the full version of the game).

All discovered by way of RPS's article pointing out an impending "remake" (to make the game run nicely on modern PCs, but essentially leaving it otherwise unchanged).

There's also a free dating sim starring Tekken characters made by the creator of Homestuck (what ever the fuck that is, it seems to be a web comic? I tried Googling it and I get MS Paint pictures of Warcraft trolls dressed as hipsters.). You could probably find it via Google.

Homestuck is a webcomic, yes. I don't get it myself, but it's popular with teenagers.
