Looks nothing like anime to me. I was talking about the style, japanese cyberpunk seems to be smooth and curvy.

You don't even know what Japanese cyberpunk is, do you?

That looks brilliant.
A shame if it's only multi-player (but understandable given the size of the team).

Great, but the turning of the mech seems kinda... well, off. Maybe whoever is playing is using a controller rather than mouse/kb?

This is one genre where that ridiculously exaggerated headbob is actually appropriate.
Really feels like you're in a massive exoskeleton lumbering around.
Edit: Interesting. I think this is the first YouTube video I've seen that has almost twice as many likes as views ... because of how fast I got in on watching it; it hasn't updated all the views yet.
Edit2: 120,000 views in less than a day, that's also why.

Whoah. That looks really good. The mechs stomp around with noticeable heft, and the weapon effects look nice and visceral. What I really like is the HUD- it looks like a real one instead of a simple game overlay. I'll be following this.

It should be played with a controller, or a joystick imo. It should after all give you the feeling that you're piloting a large unwieldy killingmachine, not that you
are the large unwieldy killingmachine. If you play with a mouse and can turn on a dime it won't feel like a mech.
But ofcourse, this is a multiplayer game, and if it allows you to play with kb+mouse then everyone will play with kb+mouse. Simply because it'll be more about the competition than the experience, and gamepads just can't compete.

Just because you control it with a mouse doesn't mean you can turn on a dime, but yeah, a joystick would be ideal.
As for the vid:

I liked the way Mechwarrior 3 did it -- targeting with mouse, leg/torso turning with keyboard. That way you get both the feel of the "large unwieldy killing machine" and precision aiming. Better than 4's combined approach imo, which is what they seem to be doing here.
