Hi guys,
I was given thief about 6 years ago. It was my third ever game next to sonic the hedgehog and theme hospital. I was about 9 back then and i loved the game. Some of my mates were talking about this game in school and the nostalgia feeling came and i felt a massive urge to reinstall it as i never got past the third mission. Im about to play it now, wish me luck

Whatever I wish, I wish that I could experience Thief like when I first played it. :(
After so long playing, and making levels for it, it just isn't the same any more. I guess that's one of the drawbacks when you start making levels for one of your favourite games. You know how everything works and...
it's a bit difficult to describe really!

Stop playing it for a year or so. It'll come back.

Thanks guys, this seems like an awesome community. Didnt realise there were so many players. Ive ran into a problem already and ive checked the stickies and there not relevant. My game keeps freezing. I understand that using a dual core, 256mb graphics card, 1gb ram and an xp for a game that was designed in 1998 is the problem but how do i fix it???

Sneak into the Fargon Aquisition Quality bank (or, more shortly, F.A.Q.) of the City and grab the well-guarded Dual-Core blueprints which are safely located in the bank's vault. But beware, mechanical guards have reported to be seen there, so don't forget to bring some water arrows in advance!
Unfortunately, I can only supply you with this tiny little map:

sticky note" here. ;-)
ps: Fire arrows might come in handy when spotting a certain "Zyclop Burrick".

Haha that was funny but seriesly how do i fix it
Vigil on 3/3/2007 at 19:04
The problem is most likely because of your dual-core CPU: Thief needs to be set to run on only a single CPU. You can see instructions for how to do this in the FAQ.

every so often, I have spells where things in everyday life start reminding me of thief (places and such) and it gets worse and worse until I play. I havn't played the OM's for a few years and i'm going through em all again, it's awesome fun! I'm heading down to bonehoard this weekend, wish me luck:p
