I'd just like to say hello to everyone... to anyone who may be out there.
I wasnt aware of just how underground Thief had gone, or should I say "had to go" just to stay alive.
Just to give everyone some background...
I bought Thief: The Dark Project when it first came out. Same with Thief II, but I never got to finish Thief II. Things come up as they so often do and I just got a way from playing. The past few years I've mainly Played Doom (all of ' em) and Quake III, but I have become increasingly burnt out on the fraging and mahem. So I chose to return to Thief and dang... talk about a surprise. I had to go on ebay to get Thief & Thief II.
I'm just glad to see that there have been those of you out there keeping Thief alive for the rest of us.

Most games have to go underground to stay alive past their hype -- but for Thief, it was just such a natural progression. After all, isn't that where the criminal element lives? "Underground"? :sly:
Welcome to the "Underground", Relic. You might be a neophyte Taffer, but don't worry, we've got plenty of "work" for you -- if you're interested. :sly:
Make sure you remember to see the local employers at ThiefMissions.com when you're ready to make some coin, and don't forget to keep your ear in the Thief-TheCircle.com rumor mill. Of course, you'll learn plenty here in the TTLG.com tavern.

It's always great to meet a fellow Taffer! Welcome; come in, sit down by the roaring hearth and put your feet up. Have another ale while the rest of us proceed to regale you with stories of our exploits. When you're ready to go off on adventures of your own just visit the inns mentioned by Taffermonkeys. Or, meander over to our Thief Fan Missions room in the back and through those red curtains. There's loot aplenty just waiting to be taffed and frobbed!
You're in for an interesting time Relic. Above all else, have fun! You're definitely in good company!
