Some people in IRC were discussing if or if not Hell's Kitchen in NYC is a real place. Being the one with connections, I shot a quick question to the man himself, and this is what I found:
WSpector Wrote: Hell's Kitchen is totally a real place. We stretched its boundaries south a bit but it's really there. Check out this website:

I live in NYC about four miles away from the place and didn't know it was real...hehe...I knew it was a town in California but figured they made it up for DX....It seems to be the nickname for the area right above Chelsea.
Mind you, it's not a town, or a borough, it's one of upwards of around 100 districts in NYC.
What really threw me off however was the setup of the levels. The NSF HQ which is said to be in the twenties somewhere is NORTH of Hell's Kitchen....which would be in the fifties....that's the wrong direction! Not to mention several miles away. Oh well....it's also very unrealistic to walk from Battery Park to Brooklyn Bridge in that short amount of space...But whatever...It being a game and all.

Leave me alone! hehe....There's lots of Hell's Kitchens in the U.S...
I've only lived here for two and a half years and it's very very easy to miss things in this humongous city. I just realized a few weeks ago that we had a pet shop right across the street....You have to live here to understand; it's cram-packed.

That's some cool background info, Digi.
From Bloemendaal (Vale of Flowers) to Hell's Kitchen. What a comment on civilization.
