Hello,
I apologize if I'm in the wrong forum. Even though I have fulfilled all the objectives the mission does not end. The objective of listening to the eye and exit ruins are still unchecked. I went back and listened to the eye until he(?) was finished, twice, I read somewhere you needed to sit on the ledge til the eye was finished speaking. Did not work I'm still stuck wandering around. What to do??
Thief Gold btw on hard difficulty :confused:

Did you do what The Eye said? Sorry, you didn't mention if you had. Did you go to the Keeper Grotto, etc?

Yes I did I actually went back extinguished the flames and relit them again, do you know if there is a way to just skip to the next mission? I don't know what else I can do as far as game play except replay it I kinda don't want to do that.....Thanks for replying!

You stood on the keyhole-shaped pedestal when you lit the torches? The door on the left side of the grotto didn't open? I've heard it glitches sometimes. If the door won't open, then I would suggest collecting any loot you may have left in the mission and pressing ctrl+alt+shift+end. :erg:

Yes I stood on the pedestal and the door did open the first time and was still open when I did the second time but I went in and reread the books etc. nothing happened. I did read in another forum someone else had this same problem no one answered them (not ttlg). Anyway thanks I was just walkin around shooting zombies lol I have all my loot! I will try the ctrl, alt etc.

Details are needed to narrow down whether a step was skipped or if it was a known glitch. Thanks for your patience!
I can probably guess that you have picked up the stoen Keeper Key in the Keeper Chapel without waiting for you to tell me you did so, too. :p

Hi yes I did get the stone key, I never had a use for it tho should I have?
I have had some weird things happen while playing aside from one poor burrick that got stuck at the wall and never got loose, in another mission I opened a door and it floated across the room and went through the wall it was kind of cool. Also the big spider guarding the room with the pedestal was there and then when I went back after a save it was gone couldn't find it anywhere, then I fell into the water and found it dead on the bottom but I did not kill it. I did ctrl/alt/shift/end and got to the next mission so on I go. Thanks for your help.

The drowned spider is normal. Happens all the time. The 'stone key' you use later, don't worry about it.
Start the game from the beginning. When a mission starts use the CNTL/SHIFT/ALT/END and just move through the missions until you get where you want.
You can also force a mission by changing the CFG files.
The easy way is to start the game and SAVE the very beginning of a mission. CNTL/SHIFT etc. to the next and save that start.
When you have them all saved just copy them to a data disc and when you want a particular mission, copy that save into the SAVES file in the THIEF folder.

The last time I played Thief: Gold a few years ago, I was in Return to the Haunted Cathedral and it got to the point that no matter what I did, the ghost of Brother Murus would not re-appear to give me the next mission objective. It was really annoying to have to restart the mission because of what apparently was a bug.

I sympathize with Diliz, but can't offer any help. I've played and replayed this mission close to a hundred times and never had that problem.
I presume all the objectives, and I mean ALL are checked off. As for the key, you will use it later.
Is this the CD version or a Steam or other Download? Another question that occurs to me, what Operating system and have you used any 'enhancements' like the improved textures, DDFIX or like that?
