Why are you trying to go in the front way, instead of the other sneaky ways (which also lead to more goodies)?
You really make it sound like you aren't having any fun and that this game kicks your ass.:(

No its not kicking my ass,it could be best described has being in a comfortable situation then thrust into something with no clue on how to proceed.I think I will you the youtube video walkthrough because that doesnt use the front door.

First: You have problems because you don't look around before you jump.
Blackmail can be done by going in Truarts front gate. But not by being a clutz about it.
The guards ( three as I recall in two compounds) can be circumvented.
The easy way in is to use the broken wall and sneak in past the craveyard.
You can go over the wall where you start, and work your way around to open the gate in the side wall and take out the guard.
You can go into the houses, work your way through and then over the wall to the right of the gate take out the two quards, open the gate in the wall and take out the guards at the main gate.
Or you can cross the side compound and go around the back side as mentioned above.
But then Maxrebo6, you have demonstrated your outstanding understanding of the game missions, and your skill for us before.
Too bad we won't have a Youtube of your attempts we can watch to cheer us on the long, lonely winter nights.
And YES I AM BEING SARCASTIC.

Nevermind I made it past that part and am doing quite good now.I love when you it doesnt go exactly like it does in the walkthrough,so you think you in a bind but you improvies and I had one moment that worked great,in the room with the two servents talking about the rowdy guest and someone stealing silverware.Remember this is my first time playing the game so the more I mess up the more I learn from my mistakes and will now how to do it the next time and and after several runs I could end up being quite good. I highly dont someone other than the developers themselves could say they wre that good in there first run.

If you forget the damn walkthrough and play the game you will find many different ways to accomplish a task or mission.
Try examining an area, thinking about it, and then playing the game as if it was a real situation and you were Garrett.
Often there is more than one way into a place, and as often one the designers never envisioned.
Your current comments about "finding other ways" is old hat and, with minor exceptions, if any, have already been done by other players and the methodology posted.

Multiple ways in and around the target building and in and around the scenarios within are one of the most touted strengths of the series!
