I'm having trouble getting Daemonite's Thief Model Patch v1.0 to work. So far, guards lose their limbs and their head and weapons collapse onto their torsos. Pretty funny to watch, especially when they "jump" around. Also, my ui has dissapeared and the icons for arrows and other items are no longer visible.
What have I done:
Copied the mod's folders to my thief directory and added "ObjTextures16" to dark.cfg
I'm running thief on XP with Orgy's texture patch and an executable fix for the not enough memory thingy.
Any ideas what the problem is? Must fix! :D

The AI problem suggests that the *.cal files aren't in the \mesh folder where they should be. These files define the skeleton for an AI, so without them your AIs become piles of jelly! :eww:

In the mesh folder there are 2 subs: \txt which contains .tga's and \hipoly which contains a bunch of .bin files and files labelled "3dsmax biped pose adjustment file". Are these the .cal files?
looks like everything is in order...
Edit: "piles of jelly" is definitely the right description

Your screenshot clinches it, either you don't have the .cal files or they're not in the right location. I happen to have the Orgy pack installed also, here's part of my \mesh\hipoly folder:

thief\mesh\hipoly shows exactly the same for me. actorm, actorm, actorw, actorw, etc.. The second files' type is labelled "3dsmax biped pose adjustment file" instead of .cal but the file sizes correspond with your screenshot.
My only guess is 3ds max might have incorrectly assigned the .cal files to be opened by it. Arg well I need to sleep now

Your description of the problem is hampered because of a default setting that has plagued Windows since 1995, known as "hide file extensions for known types." If you turn that off in the options for Windows Explorer, you will be able to see the actual file names.

Thanks for the tip. You learn something new every day... :p
Well, they are .cal files... not sure where to go from here. Oh well, better models isn't necessary for enjoyment.
