Try copying the maps from the CD to your DeusEx/Maps directory, then play the level again. This has been known to help.

After installing the patch I too encountered the problem where Simons wouldn't contact me.
A similiar situation appears in two other places too.
I was able to complete the objectives even though they stayed as "uncomplete" up to the end of the game.
A way how I avoided this happening in the third (and last place) was to use the proper login and password on the computer. Basically it seems that something goes wrong if the goal is achieved through hacking rather than using the "proper" method.
The three places are:
[insert the possible spoiler warning]
NSF HQ (that we already know)
The superfreighter PSC Wall Cloud
Beth DuClare's Mansion basement.

Hey I got another bug for you there. If you dispose of all of them including the guard at the baracade just before you have to have a map change for the NSF HQ and go to the roof again you should get another message from Simons. The bug being that you only get it from there at the location.

*I think this is how the bug goes*
If you go into Castle Clinton too early, Agent Navarre will think you are a NSF and won't stop shooting you untill you are dead.

Yea, I get the same thing, it still tells me to scuttle the PCS wall cloud, and investigate the bar to the west to see if pauls telling the truth. Alot of times, I have to play a part over and over until I get a transmission on what to do, or a progression. It be wierd.
