I'm pretty sure I've scanned both the core of the citadel and the outer part of it inch by inch for any trace of a special loot item. I've already completed my main objectives ages ago, but it's that damn one special loot I need to find. I already checked the FAQS on GameFaqs and none of them mentioned the objective for some reason. Help?

Did you find the tapestry ? It is mentioned somewhere in a book or scroll, and this is the special loot I had problems finding at first. The other two are the diamond (guarded by pagans) and the pagan battle horn. If it is the tapestry that you missed, then have a look at any rooms near the set of stairs that lead to the ledge in the throne room from where you get the crown.

Arg, no luck Istvan Varga. And I only need to find ONE special loot item. What about the other items you mentioned? Where can I find that horn or that diamond? They are also special loot items right?

Hehe, nvm. It seems like I didn't know what a barley was, for it was just some cloth on a wall. I passed by it many times but never knew it was an obtainable loot. Mission complete.

You have already found the tapestry, so I only try to describe the places where the other two items are found. These are both in the outer areas, and not in the citadel core.
The diamond can be found where two pagans are having a conversation (they are the only humans in the level, if I recall correctly, so that may be of some help finding the place); it looks like most of the 'crystal' light sources that can be found all around the place, but it is actually loot that can be picked up.
The pagan battle horn is I think somewhere in the large room with the Kurshok eggs.

The horn, as far as I remember, is in the middle of the "breeding"-room, down the stairs to a flooded chamber. It is lying on kind of a sarcophacus or altar in its centre and being guarded by a Kurshok-Warrior.

There is other few in the core citadel, in front of library, but sometimes they are already killed by Kurshoks.
I replay the mission now and ratmen are quite funny when you stop to listen what they ocassionally say. Stupid stupid little funny creatures ;) Their clashes with Kurshoks is nice enjoyment too.
