Okay I'll say this one more time and this time I'll type slowly so you can understand.
I Do NOT have a TEXT BAR appear when I press T
In my user.ini file there is ONLY 1 mentioning of T= and I edited it to T=Talk
I even went a step further and added right below it t=Talk since there was no t= option listed in my user.ini file.
Now, I get the "cheats enabled" in the "LOAD GAME" menu but that's it.
please read back my prior messages and you should see that I have done everything correctly.. now there is a missing variable to this problem somewhere, I don't know where it is... I have already suggested that maybe I should start with a CLEAN INSTALLATION of the GAME yet noone has commented on my suggestion. Therefore I assmume that it doesn't matter whether I have a clean installation or not.
So what else do you have ?

All right Rock HEADS!
I got my cheat working ... since noone else could solve my problem, I had to do it.
(Alas once again I have to pull my own ass out of the fire)
Oh what was the fix?
Well, like you and so many OTHER websites made the same mistake... not ONLY do you have to edit the "USER.INI" file but also,
(now pay attention boys and girls, especially you ignorant webmasters )
You must ALSO edit the USER.CFG file
(notice the difference between the two? hmmmmmm?
Now why am I so mad?
Well maybe it's because that not only this website but alot of others do NOT mention what I had just discovered and maybe it's the insanity of one person repeating the exact same instructions to me over and over again expecting different results..
( ya know that is the first sign of insanity.. repeating the same action over and over again and expecting different results)
So I did most of the work (again) Now it's up to you webmasters to make the CORRECTION,
Edit the "USER.INI AND the USER.CFG" file
Simple instructions... just the wrong instructions... make them RIGHT!
I'll be checking back on you!

Yolanda, calm down, there is only one file called user.ini in my DX system folder, no user.cfg and not even any .cfg files, may be you have some different version.

Indeed, there is no User.cfg or any config files in my Deus Ex folder. I apologize for any frustration that you may have experienced. It's possible that you have a different version from the rest of us.

I'll Check my version and get back to you.
Question, How many different versions could there possibly be ?
But I DO have .cfg files also along with .ini files.
