I am not sure why my in-game gamma stopped functioning and now every mission, old or new is soooo much darker by default, than it used to be ... Maybe after the latest windows 10 update that took place some days ago? Before that update I could slide the gamma or use the "-" and "+" keys to change it. I tried to change the Nvidia available options to see if something changes but...no. I have GeForce GT 640M Win 10 Pro (64) Is some line in the conf. files that I should alter maybe?
If someone could help me I would be grateful !!! Thanks!!

Nightchild (and others): now that it works, where approximately do you put your ingame gamma slider so that it is satisfactory to you?
I had similar problems 2 years ago when my hard disk crashed and I had to reinstall T2. I recall that before the crash my gamma slider was set around 50%. At first I was unable to adjust it, so I applied similar fix that Unna posted. I can now adjust gamma, but I still find my game very dark. To have my gamma slider at 50%, I have to increase monitor brightness every time before I play T2; if not doing that, I would have to increase ingame gamma to around 80-90% to get the desirable effect. I feel I get no real contrast in shadows. I have Win7, Nvidia Geforce 525M graphic drivers and I have updated them several times, but no effect. It is no problem to me to adjust monitor brightness every time, but I am curious if there is another solution.

I 'm not sure if this can help you in any way, but I usually have it about 65% ... it may be a bit bright for others but I like to be able to enjoy the scenery as well.. :)

This is a integrated intel video device, so you can't expect too much
edit cam_ext.cfg
enable this (remove ";")
Code:
; optional saturation setting when "d3d_disp_sw_cc" is enabled, 0 is black and white, 1 is normal color
; (does not affect menu screens)
-->;d3d_disp_sw_cc_sat 0.25*
*You can also set it to 0.5 or something
and maybe this
Code:
; by default it will try to use an enhanced 32-bit precision display mode, if the driver supports it, but
; there may be instances (like with integrated intel GPUs) where the driver does support it but it may not
; work correctly (such as gamma not working), this option will disable the use of enhanced precision
-->;d3d_disp_no_rgb10_buf

Thank you both. I tried the above two fixes and I can't confirm 100%, but on the first look it does look slightly better in the shadows. :)
