They fixed it in TG so you can't prop those doors open and skip the main part of the mission. So I'm afraid you're going to have to brave the undead. Honestly, the undead missions get to be a LOT of fun once you get used to them and get over being scared of the spooks. I used to be terrified of them and now I love undead levels. There are a lot of excellent undead Fan Missions that are outstanding. I wouldn't want to have missed out on them.
