Those of you who played Rowena's Curse, perhaps will remember Lord Duncan's portrait. That was my husband in RL.
He was so proud to see his portrait in the middle of my mission. and he was so amused by playing the role of the bad one.
It was him to introduce me to Thief, since I didn't like the game at the beginning. Later on, when I started making missions, he was my first betatester.
He never joined the forums because he didn't understand English language at all, but he was very passionate about our favourite game, he played hundred of missions. I always told him about what happened in the TTLG's community and about its members.

Unfortunately a cancer took him away. He died three days ago, on Monday 5, after four years of fighting against the blasted malady.
I am telling all this to you because I consider this community as a second family. Even if I seemed to be absent during the last two years, I used to take a look at the forums almost every day.

Well, that's all. I just wanted to share this with you.

I'm very sorry to hear this, Lady Rowena :( My condolences.

I wish you and your family a lot of strength to come to terms with this loss.

A strange idea that his image remains alive in this community through this beautiful painting in RC.

That's terrible news Lady Rowena.
I knew there were RL issues for a long time period, but I can't even begin to grasp the impact of this in your family.
I hope you've the strength to get through this.
The upcoming times will be hard, I'm sure.
This forum feels like family to me too, so I can understand you sharing this with us.
I'll be thinking of you and will lit a candle for your husband in my home.

My deepest condolences and thank you for sharing. It sounds like he was passionate about Thief and although it's a shame there was a language barrier that kept him away from here it's good to know he enjoyed many fan missions.

Oh my. I'm so sorry for you. Take time to grieve in your own way and don't let any one tell you how to grieve or for how long. We are all diminished by your loss.
