Holy Moses, they're still working on it? they've been at it since Doom3's release in 2004.
Looks awesome, but get a move on it!

Compared to most non-Source mods I can think of, that doesn't seem like a terribly long time. I think they deserve some credit for still working on it, since most mods go through the usual mod development cycle: 1.) have one good idea 2.) post rendered model shots 2a.) enjoy the line of people who will forget who you are in 6 months as they line up to suck your cock 3.) get a model working in-game and post a dozen screens 4.) completely disappear once the realization of the difficulty of making decent game content hits

Ooooh, that is just such a cynical attitude! ;) Although, sadly, often very true. :(
I just hope that (
http://www.team-gizka.org/) these guys don't crap out now.
Can't appreciate the Hexen mod too much, I'm afraid, since I don't own Doom 3, so my post's off-topic by default, sorry...

Didn't I read somewhere that the Dark Mod guys are working together with these guys to share resources and assets between the two mods (or something like that)?

No, at least not lately. Perhaps at first there was some sharing for some of the early tech setup, I don't know about it at that point.

The engine switching stuff doesn't bode well for the project. They even state in one of their posts on the front page that they're mainly switching based on the perceived popularity of the engines involved. If they've already got months (or years?) of work tied up in the Doom 3 engine and a failed attempt at converting to Q4 behind them (that sucked up six months of work), attempting to jump ship to another game that isn't even out yet seems like suicide.
If a mod is good enough, people will reinstall a game to play it. Always trying to switch over to the newest tech is a great way to never get anything released.
Who has to reinstall games these days? Hard drives are so huge we have almost bottomless space. I've got everything from Wolfenstein 3D, to Deus Ex, to the latest Dark Mod FMs and the Amnesia demo installed.
I wonder... how's the music in this TC? Some of the music in Hexen and Heretic was quite good. For example, Hexen 2 map 02, Hexen 1 map01 and map22. I'm sure there are others, because I've never finished the game.
