By "Nugat" you must mean artwork! . .. right? heheh. . well, I'm in the process of drawing another Thief fanart that I'll submit to the TTLG website when it gets done. . .in the meantime I'll probably end up having to re-draw Garrett's hand. .it still looks too small. .

Well what does "to hit the roof" mean? For us non-natives.
Shayde on 26/7/2006 at 10:27
Well in South Africa it means to lose your temper. Dunno about everywhere else though.

I GO ON THE ROOF U SAYIN GERMAN = Hitting the roof in anger?
Bloody language barrier.
the_dark_and_clouded on 26/7/2006 at 11:41
"an die Decke gehen" basically means to get very angry and/or upset.
themetalian on 26/7/2006 at 14:10
I didn't get it's meaning either but I still laughed because it was funny and a good example of a bad use of English grammer :D

You can also say, "blow one's top", like in comics, when a character gets angry, their face gets red, smoke comes out their ears, and the top of their head blows to the ceiling.
Anyway, does anybody actually use the scouting orb in Thief 2?
themetalian on 26/7/2006 at 22:12
I hardly ever use a scouting orb in Thief 2. I don't see the point of it. You can peek round at corners or use zoom in/out. The scouting orb is just there for flash.

If I recall correctly, though, the player character in T2 doesn't have an in-game model, certainly not like T3. This model is spawned only when the orb is released just for this purpose, and when the orb is turned off, the model is destroyed. :( It's not even really an AI; more like an object.
Yes, the only thing visible ingame is whatever weapon/arm Garrett is using, and whatever AI (one leg and Garrett's hand) he happens to be carrying on his shoulder.
