That's not a spoiler -- it's people that are in the game and you will meet them no matter what happens. Just knowing the names does not ruin the game for you.
It's like saying that Anatoly Korenchkin has a russian (or whatever) accent in SS2. It doesn't ruin the game.

hey Daxim, i'm in the middle of deus ex and i think it's great. different, but great. it has the most unparallelled (sp?) degree of freedom as far as overcoming obstacles and such goes in games like these. i have a medium-end system (400Mhz, 128MB RAM, Rage Fury Pro) and i have to run it at 640x480 to get any decent framerate, which drops to < 2 when some new textures have to be added to mem and old stuff has to be swapped out ... but other than that, it's super. just be prepared to do and redo.

(Let's assume, for the purpose of this post, that your copy is working. I hope that's not too far from the truth...)
Helllllllloooooo, Daxim.
Firstly, let me congratulate on your fine choice of game.
Secondly, If you haven't picked it, "Thanks fer gettin me in." is analogous to AYB (i.e it's funny/amusing because it's stupid and annoying).
Thirdly, Shadows do matter, just nowhere near as much as in Thief. And you miss the Visibility Gem, right? (I know I did.)
Finally, Choose your Augs wisely.
I just realised these are all (kinda) obvious.
Execpt for the second one.

stupid and annoying is right. the funny thing is that unlike AYB, everyone knows what the hell it is once they get there. you can't avoid it, unless you already know about it.
i also really miss(ed) the visibility gem ... but now that i have the cloak aug ...
