I really liked the first H&D when it came out, but it hasn't aged very well at all in my opinion, and it's nowhere near as good as the sequel.
At the time that I completed the original game and its expansion from beginning to end for the first time - which was relatively recently - I didn't have a good enough computer to play the sequel at a satisfactory performance, so I just tried that demo and gave up. If the sequel really is that good I'm tempted to try again now that I have a decent computer.

The game is far from perfect, but it's definitely worth a bargain bin price.
