Sharon, MA, October 30th, 2008 – Tri Synergy, Inc. ((
www.trisynergy.com)) and Game Factory Interactive ((
www.gfi.su)) are thrilled to announce that Tri Synergy will be bringing Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge to North American retailers this holiday season! Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge has been highly anticipated by fans of the tactical turn-based genre after it was hailed as having “everything the original [Jagged Alliance] series has – and more.” To kick off the road to release, Tri Synergy has also released a brand new pack of screenshots to exhibit the beautiful (and fully destructible) 3D engine found in Hired Guns.
Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge is a turn-based strategy that puts you command of a squad of specialists for hire in the genre’s biggest game-world yet: the African country Diamond Coast. Found in one of the world’s darkest corners, Diamond Coast is a playground for the cruel and corrupt, each with their own agenda. Choose your friends wisely and buy an army of ruthless mercenaries to unleash mayhem on the African countryside. Choose “jobs” from different factions and complete them for cash to upgrade weapons and hire more elite soldiers of fortune.
Tons of firepower will let your team destroy anything standing, but smooth talk and a wad of bills can also go a long way towards ensuring success. With multiple story lines and endings, you’re in total control of your own fate
Even life and Death have a price when you are a Hired Gun living on the Jagged Edge!
Features include:
• Ally with up to four different factions for unique bonuses
• Crush your enemies with over 150 upgradeable weapons
• Hire over 30 mercenaries with various specialties and skills
• Destroy everything in your path with a fully interactive world and realistic physics
• Gain territory with brains, brawn or cold hard cash
• Determine your own fate with multiple storylines and endings
Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge will hit stores in time for the holiday season at Game Stop, Circuit City, Best Buy, and other fine PC game retailers.
Get more information on Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge from Tri Synergy’s product page and be sure to check out the new screenshots now available!

Every time I see that game title I think it's actually a Hired Guns remake. :(

Another russian tac shooter? Let me guess, so hard it makes your balls fall off, would be fun if it wasn't full of gamebreaking bugs.

Big Fan of the jagged alliance series - has anyone played the demo of this new one to try it out ?
From the screenshots, it looks more like a direct top down view, rather than the isometric view of the first two games. If this was a fixed perspective, it would seriously detract from the prospect of ever making it onto my hard disk...

Same here. I remember posting on a thread about this same game a while back that I thought of an Amiga/DOS game titled "Hired Guns" first and Jagged Alliance second. (Oh, and didn't that thread have a link to an UnrealEngine1-based Hired Guns remake that didn't quite make it to retail?)

Is this done by the Silent Storm Sentinels developer? I vaguely recall that that is the case..
