Link doesn't seem to work at the moment. Here it is at another place: (

I like it. At first I thought that Olyphant looked way too young and one thing I really liked about the games was that you played an middle-aged dude for once. But I think a young un-scarred Hitman will go perfectly with the Jesus Hocus Pocus storyline they seem to be cooking up. Any similarity this movie will have to the games will be cosmetic at best.

Excuse me, but 47, a man with the power to strike down evil wherever it hides? Nigga please. I don't know about the movie, but whoever made the trailer doesn't know the subject matter at all.
Olyphant still looks way too boyish, by the way.
Fully agree on that, but the choice of Ave Maria instead of some ROCKIN' BEATS for the trailer does leave me with hope.

I'm a big fan of the Hitman series but I wasn't impressed by the trailer. 47 looks far too fresh faced and clean cut and the overall look of the movie seemed very bright, cheap, and cheerful. I was hoping for something darker and grittier from one of my favourite anti-heroes. Of course this opinion is based on a 1 min trailer so maybe I'll change my mind when I see some more of it. Video games just never seem to sucessfully crossover to film do they? ...and visa versa.

Note that all of those games have no direct connection to any film, but are spin-offs/tie-ins/derivations/'inspired-by's

I would imagine the fresh face is part of their twist on the story to make him more PC. They're trying to soften him up so that audiences will like him. Hollywood wouldn't be too keen on a movie staring 47 as he truly is. It's all about buxxx after all. I bet the whole vanquishes evil thing means they're likely going to stress the people he murders as being murders and villains themselves, not innocent bellhops.

Well, speaking as somebody who goes for that Silent Assassin rating... it is kinda true, though. It's unlikely that Mr. 47 himself cares about that, but it is true that he kills a lot of people that would be considered evil by the general populace. Some undoubtedly would see him as some kind of agent of divine retribution, especially given his proficiency and ability to get into places nobody is supposed to get into...
Still, wait and see... It seems like they haven't *completely* screwed it up, which is already better than I expected... My personal worry is more with the woman and hollywood's insistance on romances, no matter how plastic, in every damn movie...

Eh, ok. Fair nuff.

I think they should make this a complete marathon of stealth and violence with unrealistic amounts of gore :P. Imagine the Meat king mission from Hitman: Contracts in this movie. Now that would be gory.

I've never even played the game and the guy looks way too nice to me.
Too bad the movie wasn't directed by Robert Rodriguez.
