I don't think I could've stood a Londoner 47 either. That said, a Londoner 47 is probably better than meathead 47 (Vin Diesel).
The trailer left me rather cold, it looks like a random action movie (the white suit part evoked the excremental Equilibrium) with John Woo overtones (set pieces, slow-mos involving flying birds and moody overtones such as religion or protection of the weak) and yet it had the music, look and feel of the games stamped all over it. It's a weird mesh, possibly the result of a trailer cut to appeal both to the popcorn crowd and the fans of the franchise, perhaps the movie itself will hold more true to the games and yet deliver enough set-piece action (for each hit) in the style that popcorn munchers are used to.
It does seem to be taking the Hitman 2 slant of religious overtones and save-the-world grandiose, which doesn't bother me too much as it was my favourite of all the games and is certainly the most palatable for movie audiences. Remember, what makes the best Hitman game and levels will not translate well to movie screens.

Man that clip is terrible. The cuts, the acting (the guy is trying way too hard), silly use of slow mo, completely and utterly uninspired. It looks like the kind of crap that most game devs come up with when they try to make cutscences.

Here's what I've been able to deduce about the movie from that clip:

That clip was awful. Not that I had high hopes for this movie anyway...

But the kids at the end of the clip were playing the game the movie is based on!
That's a fresh and original idea, right?

I agree, the guy does look a bit young for the part of 47.
Sill though, I'll go see it.
The flick they did on Silent Hill was pretty good I thought. It captured the feel of the game. Maybe this one will too?!
